In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a process where an egg is fertilized by sperm outside the body, in a laboratory setting. It is designed for couples or individuals facing fertility challenges who have struggled to conceive naturally. After fertilization, the embryo is implanted into the intended mother or a surrogate’s uterus. This treatment offers hope for those with unexplained infertility, damaged fallopian tubes, or low sperm count, among other issues. With advanced technology, IVF increases the chance of pregnancy and is often recommended after other fertility treatments have failed.
